The position
As a Mechanical Engineer at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for supporting multidisciplinary projects within the energy and infrastructure sector. The position combines responsibilities in mechanical systems support for offshore operations with the technical and project execution aspects common in energy infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be based in the Netherlands, fluent in English, and capable of contributing to both onshore and offshore work environments.
- Prepare and execute mechanical engineering tasks related to:
- HVAC systems
- Well Head Control Panels
- Centrifugal, Reciprocating, Screw & Diaphragm Pumps
- Gas & Diesel Engines (including Generator Packs)
- Fire Water Systems
- Heat Exchangers
- Instrument & Reciprocating Air Compressors
- Support the installation, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment in offshore and onshore facilities.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to support project delivery.
- Conduct site visits for complex work preparation, retrofits, or commissioning when required.
- Use SAP for asset management, work orders, and maintenance tracking.
- Ensure technical documentation, maintenance strategies, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of project milestones on time and within budget.
What you bring to the position
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor’s preferred; MBO4 with significant hands-on experience accepted).
- Proven experience (hands-on) with at least 80% of the following: pumps, compressors, engines, HVAC, cand control panels.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Working knowledge of SAP in an industrial or offshore environment.
- Eligible and willing to go offshore for project preparation or support (offshore certification is a plus).
- Background in Offshore Oil & Gas, Refining, Chemicals, or Maritime sectors.
- Experience supporting infrastructure in power systems, substations, or industrial utilities.
- Familiarity with commissioning, retrofit projects, and multi-disciplinary engineering environments.
- Dutch language skills are a plus.
